Kaiser Permanente Supports the Community

Posted on January 23, 2018

Kaiser Permanente supports many Eagle River Youth Coalition programs and events. It is a true community partner. This is a letter from Brent Bowman, Vice President for Expansion Markets, Kaiser Permanente Colorado and Mark Carvalho, M.D., Vice President of Care Delivery of Expansion Markets at the Colorado Permanente Medical Group.

To a year of good health...

Happy 2018! As we begin the new year, we’d like to thank the Eagle County community for being so welcoming to Kaiser Permanente over the past two years. We appreciate the support we’ve received from our members, community partners, colleagues and friends.

We are proud to be part of this vibrant community.
When Kaiser Permanente decides to expand into a new area of Colorado, we become part of the fabric of that community.

Since 2016, we’ve provided more than $76,000 in funding to InteGreat! to increase participation in the organization’s summer food service program for at-risk children in Edwards, Avon and Gypsum.

Mountain Family Health Centers’ Edwards clinic participates in our Safety Net Specialty Care Program where Kaiser Permanente specialists provide online services and appointments.

Kaiser Permanente is dedicated to improving the health of our members and the communities we serve.

More than 4,000 Coloradans living in the mountains have selected Kaiser Permanente for their health care and coverage.

Long-term, we hope our presence in Eagle County will help lower health care costs and expand access to quality care.

Our members are at the center of everything we do.

Delivering high-quality, affordable health care is important to us. We employ nine physicians, nurses and staff at our Edwards medical office who are working hard to help members be as healthy as they can be.

Local providers like Colorado Mountain Medical and many others in Summit and Eagle counties are working with Kaiser Permanente to expand our mountain provider network. Additional relationships with local providers and facilities are being explored.

We are also making it easier for members to manage their health - from urgent care availability at the Edwards medical office to being able to connect with Kaiser Permanente providers online or by phone.

Eagle County is a great place to live and work. We look forward to continuing to grow and meet your health care needs in 2018 and beyond.

Be well,

Brent Bowman
Vice President for Expansion Markets, Kaiser Permanente Colorado

Mark Carvalho, M.D.
